The Walker Foundation Scholarship

At Walker Academy Career Institute & Youth Ministry, we believe every child deserves access to quality education, enrichment, and opportunities to succeed. Our Walker Foundation Schalorship is designed to support families who demonstrate financial need while recognizing students who are committed to learning, leadership, and personal growth.
Scholarship Award
The Walker Foundation Scholarship provides:
- 100% tuition paid for one complete school term
- Access to all academic and enrichment programs included with enrollment
- Mentorship and student support services
- The opportunity to learn in a safe, caring, and purpose-driven environment
Please Note: This scholarship covers tuition only. Transportation fees, uniforms, field trips, and other optional program expenses are not included unless otherwise approved by Walker Academy.

Who Can Apply?
Students may apply if they:
- Are enrolled or planning to enroll at Walker Academy.
- Demonstrate financial need or significant family hardship.
- Have a positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
- Agree to maintain regular attendance and follow all program expectations.
How to Apply
To be considered for the Walker Foundation Scholarship for the 2026–2027 school year, applicants must complete all of the following steps:
- Complete the 2026–2027 Walker Academy Enrollment Packet.
- Complete the Walker Foundation Scholarship Application.
- Submit all required supporting documents, including proof of financial hardship (if applicable).
- Write a student essay explaining your educational goals, personal challenges, and how receiving this scholarship and attending Walker Academy will help you achieve your future aspirations.
- Email your completed essay and required documents to info@thewalkeracademy.org
Application Deadline: August 4, 2026
All application materials, including the enrollment packet, scholarship application, supporting documents, and essay, must be received by the deadline to be considered. Incomplete or late applications may not be eligible for review.
Applicants may submit one (1) or more of the following documents as proof of financial need:
- SNAP (Food Assistance) benefit approval letter
- Medicaid or Florida KidCare approval letter
- TANF (Temporary Assistance for Needy Families) benefit letter
- SSI (Supplemental Security Income) or Social Security benefit statement
- WIC benefit verification
- Unemployment benefits statement
- Foster care or kinship care documentation
- Housing assistance or Section 8 approval letter
- Free or Reduced-Price School Meals eligibility letter
- Documentation of participation in other government assistance programs
Applications must be submitted by the published deadline. Incomplete applications may not be considered.
Confidentiality
All financial information submitted with this application will be kept confidential and used solely to determine scholarship eligibility. Documents will be reviewed only by the Walker Foundation Scholarship Committee.
